Garlic Pickle

Ingredients to make Garlic Pickle

  • 250g garlic cloves peeled
  • 1 1/2 tbsp salt
  • 1/2- 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp hing
  • 1 tsp fenugreek seeds
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 2 dry red chillies chopped
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • oil as needed

How to make Garlic Pickle

  1. In a kadai, dry roast fenugreek seeds and mustard seeds for a minute. Let it cool and then powder it.
  2. Now mix this powder with turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt.
  3. Heat oil in a pan , add red chillies and hing. Stir fry for a 30 seconds.
  4. Add the garlic and saute over low heat.
  5. Mix in the spice powder and cook till oil comes out.
  6. Add vinegar and store in glass jar.
