ABOUT Chilli Mint Flavoured Pull Apart Bread RECIPE

Bread with fresh mint leaves and red chilli flakes.Spicy enough to have a slice with hot tea .

Ingredients Serving: 9

  1. 3 cups all purpose flour.
  2. 1 tesp yeast.
  3. 3/4 cup warm milk.
  4. 3/4 tbsp sugar.
  5. 1 1/4 tesp yeast.
  6. 3 tbsp butter.
  7. 2 tbsp milk powder
  8. Flavouring: 3 tbsp soft unsalted butter,1 1/2 tesp red chilli flakes ,1/4 tesp salt and 2 tbsp finely chopped mint leaves.

Instructions

  1. Mix milk ,yeast and sugar in a bowl let set for 5 minutes.
  2. Add in the flour,milk powder,salt and butter.
  3. Mix well and knead for 10 minutes to a soft dough.
  4. Apply oil all over the dough and place on a oiled bowl ,covered with cling wrap.
  5. Let the dough rise.
  6. Punch the dough and roll to a rectangle 10" × 14"
  7. Mix butter, mint ,salt and chilli flakes.
  8. Apply this all over the dough,keep a little to brush over the bread.
  9. Roll the dough tightly to a log shape.
  10. Slice them equally,place them in a greased bread tin,pulling each slice slightly apart on either sides.
  11. Preheat oven 180 ℃ for 10 minutes.
  12. Bake at 170℃ for 25 minutes.
  13. Remove apply the butter mixture and bake at broil mode for 5 minutes or till golden brown.
  14. Remove let cool for 15 minutes,pull apart a slice and have it with hot tea.
