Anjeer, Khajoor/ Figs and Dates Burfi

Ingredients to make Anjeer, Khajoor/ Figs and Dates Burfi

  • anjeer / Figs 250 gms
  • Khajuur/ dates. 250 gms
  • Khoya 100 gms
  • Dry milk powder ( optional) for drying up
  • dry fruits for garnishing

How to make Anjeer, Khajoor/ Figs and Dates Burfi

  1. Soak anjeer and dates overnight in little amount of water.
  2. Next day blend in the blender and make fine paste.
  3. In a big wok add a little amount of desi ghee, just to roast figs and dates paste.
  4. Keep roasting on low flame till it leaves the sides.
  5. Add khoya and stir for a few minutes, if it releases more ghee than add milk powder.
  6. Grease the plate, shift anjeer khajur barfi and pat with the hands to get flat. Garnish with chopped dry fruits.
  7. It takes 4-5 hours to set burfi
  8. After setting cut into desired shapes. Diabetic friendly burfi is ready to enjoy.

My Tip:

Keep on stirring while roasting anjeer, khajoor paste
