Raw Mango & Mushroom Kodomillet Rice

Ingredients to make Raw Mango & Mushroom Kodomillet Rice

  • 2 cups Cooked Kodomillet rice
  • 1 cup Grated Raw mango
  • 3 nos Green chillies (slit opened)
  • 1 tbsp Grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp Urad dal
  • 1 tsp Channa dal
  • 1/2 cup Chopped mushrooms
  • 3 nos Dry red chillies
  • 1/4 tsp Asafoetida powder
  • few curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • oil
  • Salt

How to make Raw Mango & Mushroom Kodomillet Rice

  1. Heat enough oil in a big pan, splutter mustard seeds, then add the urad dal, channa dal, dry red chillies, asafoetida powder and keep frying. Now add the curry leaves, slit opened green chillies, turmeric powder and cook for few minutes.
  2. Add the chopped mushrooms and saute until they shrinks.
  3. Add the grated raw mango, salt and saute for a while. Now add immediately the cooked kodomillet rice to this tempered spice mixture.
  4. Mix well. Serve warm with some fried papads or with boiled eggs.
