Stuffed Buns

Ingredients to make Stuffed Buns

  • maida - 1 1/2 cups
  • Active dry yeast - 3/4 tbsp
  • Milk - 1/4 cup
  • sugar - 1 tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • oil - 3 tbsp
  • water about a quarter of a cup

How to make Stuffed Buns

  1. Add sugar and yeast to lukewarm milk and keep aside for 5 minutes. Before proceeding, check if sugar has dissolved.
  2. Take maida in a bowl, make a well in the centre. Add salt, yeast mixture, oil and water. Make a soft pliable dough, add water if required.
  3. Apply oil on surface and keep aside for one hour, to rise.
  4. Then take the dough and knead again gently.
  5. Make balls and keep on greased baking tray. Leave for 10 minutes, they will rise a little.
  6. Preheat oven at 190 C.
  7. During this time you can stuff your preferred filling in the buns. Flatten the dough ball and keep the filling. Close properly on all sides and shape the bun.
  8. Keep back on the baking tray, leaving space in between for the buns to rise.
  9. Bake for 18-19 minutes. After that brush milk on the top of the buns and put back in oven for a minute.
  10. Take out and cool for sometime.
