Hole Bites

Ingredients to make Hole Bites

  • oil for frying - 5 Cups
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • egg - 1
  • maida - 2 cups
  • sugar - 2 tablespoon
  • Baking powder - 3 teaspoon
  • salt - 1/2 tea spoon
  • Softened butter - 1/2 cup
  • Dry yeast - 1/4 tablespoon

How to make Hole Bites

  1. Mix yeast with warm water and keep it aside for 5 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together all the ingredients, and beat till dough no longer sticks to bowl.
  3. Place the dough in a greased bowl for 2 hours . It should be doubled by then.
  4. Dough should be ready , if you touch it and it regains the shape.
  5. cut dough in 8 parts, and make balls of each part.
  6. Dust some flour on the slab, and roll a ball on it. lets make a rod shaped dough.
  7. Join the ends, to give it a ring like shape.
  8. Heat the oil, and deep fry your rings.
  9. Let them turn golden brown, take them out and dust icing sugar on it.
  10. Serve it with marmalade or whipped cream or honey. or you can just have them plain with your coffee.
