Dhokhla is very common dish but dhokla bites are some thing new. Try this recipe It's hope everyone likes it

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. For dhokla
  2. 1 & 1/5 cup Gram flour/ Besan
  3. 1 tea spoon sugar
  4. 1 tea spoon salt
  5. 1/4 tea spoon Turmeric powder
  6. 1/4 tea spoon baking soda
  7. 1/2 tea spoon citric acid
  8. 2 table spoon oil
  9. 1 glass of water
  10. For Tadka
  11. 1/4 tea spoon black mustard seeds
  12. Few green chillies
  13. Handful green coriander
  14. 1 tea spoon sugar
  15. 1/4 tea spoon chaat masala (optional)
  16. Salt as per taste
  17. 1 cup water
  18. 2 table spoon oil
  19. For making bites
  20. Tomato ketchup
  21. Green chutney

Instructions

  1. Firstly make the dohkla batter
  2. Take a bowl Sevie the gram flour
  3. Now add all the dry ingredients and mix well
  4. Now add the water slowly slowly stir it well
  5. Lastly add oil mix well
  6. Keep the batter aside for 15 minutes by covering with a plate
  7. Meanwhile heat the steamer or a kadahi by adding water
  8. Greese the dhokla plates or cake mould
  9. I used the square shape cake mould
  10. Pour the batter in mould and steaming for 15 minutes on medium flame
  11. Check the dhokla with the help of toothpick
  12. If toothpick comes out clean then it is cooked otherwise cooked for some few minutes
  13. Take out the dhokla and keep it aside and let it cool
  14. Meanwhile start preparing the tadka
  15. Take a pan add oil let it heat,
  16. Add black mustard when it starts crackling add green chillies saute for a minute
  17. Now add water, Salt, sugar, chaat masala and green coriander mix well
  18. Let the water boil and sugar melts
  19. Now unmould the dhokla from tin on a plate & cut into square type pieces
  20. Now pour the tadka on dhokla and let the dhokla soak the syrup
  21. After few minutes
  22. Take dhokla pieces cut into two parts
  23. On one part spread tomato ketchup and another part spread green chutney and closed the dhokla bite
  24. Make as many pieces you want
  25. Garnish with some bhelpuri sev
  26. Dhokla bites are ready to serve
