Dark Chocolate Pomegranate Cake

Ingredients to make Dark Chocolate Pomegranate Cake

  • 2 cup maida
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon baking soda
  • 1/4 tablespoon salt
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 pinch orange rind
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 cup dark Chocolate
  • 1 cup Butter
  • 1 cup pomegranate seeds
  • 1/2 cup chopped cashew nut, raisins
  • for garnishing 1/2 cup pomegranate seeds, few raisins, cashew nut and orange pieces

How to make Dark Chocolate Pomegranate Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C.
  2. Grease cake tin with butter and set aside.
  3. Dust cashew nut, raisins, pomegranate seeds in maida and mix and toss them well. Keep aside.
  4. In bowl, seive maida, baking powder, baking soda, salt.
  5. Melt dark chocolate on double boiler.
  6. In other bowl, mix in sugar and butter till fluffy.
  7. In the mixture of butter and sugar, mix in melted dark chocolate.
  8. Then add maida mixture and fold in with light hands.
  9. Then add eggs one by one and mix.
  10. Add orange rind, vanilla essence, cocoa powder, dusted cashew nuts, raisins, pomegranate seeds.
  11. Mix properly with light hands.
  12. Pour this cake batter in greased cake tin.
  13. Bake for about 35-40 minutes. Check with toothpick, if it comes out clean then cake is ready.
  14. Give it a resting time for about 5-10 minutes. Demold it.
  15. Garnish with pomegranate seeds, orange pieces, raisins, and cashew nut.
  16. Serve Dark chocolate Pomegrante Cake
