Dhokla

Ingredients to make Dhokla

  • 1 cup fine semolina rawa
  • 1&1/2 cup curds
  • 2tbsp oil
  • 1tsp jeera
  • 1 pk eno soda
  • 1tsp urad dal
  • 5to6 green chillies slit
  • 5to6 curry leaves
  • coriander for garnish
  • salt to taste
  • Pinch of turmeric

How to make Dhokla

  1. In a bowl add rawa, curds beat it nicely then add salt whisk it nicely then add turmeric an mix well then add at last eno soda mix well.
  2. Then keep a steamer I mean cooker in that water let it boil nicely . Then take a plate an grease it wth little oil then pour the mixture into the plate , & keep it inside the steamer shut fr 7to8mins .
  3. Then turn off the gas. In another Kadai add oil fry curry leaves, green chillies slit, jeera, urad dal wen the color changes off the gas.
  4. Remove the lid of the steamer an pour this tadka on top of the dokla then garnish with coriander and coconut grated if u wish too .
  5. Then cut into pieces an serve with green spicy chutney

My Tip:

If u want u can garnish with coconut grated as it is optional. If you want your dokla batter to be spicy add green chillies paste and whisk it well
