Ingredients to make Arancini

  • 1 cup Arborio rice
  • 1/2 cup minced mutton
  • 1 small onion,chopped
  • 1 carrot,chopped
  • 1/4 cup green peas
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg powder
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying

How to make Arancini

  1. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan,add chopped onion and saute.
  2. Add minced meat, tomato paste, nutmeg powder,pepper powder and salt.
  3. Saute for a few minutes.
  4. Now add carrot , green peas and 1 cup water.
  5. Let it cook till everything is tender.
  6. Now boil 2 cups of water,add salt and add rice to it.
  7. Allow it to cook till the rice is soft and cooked completely.
  8. When the rice and minced meat are done allow them to cool completely.
  9. Then heat oil for frying in a pan.
  10. In a bowl take breadcrumbs and keep aside.
  11. Now take a fist full of rice, make a well in between and fill the well with cooked minced meat mixture.Make sure the mixture is dry.
  12. Seal it with the help of your hands trying to give the shape of a droplet.
  13. Coat them with breadcrumbs and fry till they are golden brown.
  14. Your Arancini is ready to be served.
