Ingredients to make Shahi tukda

  • Bread 5 slices
  • Milk 3/4 cup
  • sugar 1 cup
  • Water 1 cup
  • Milk powder 2tablespoon
  • Ghee 1 tablespoon
  • Cardamom 2pods
  • Butter5 Tablespoons
  • Pistachio 9
  • Almond 5 peel n chopped
  • Raisins 10
  • saffron 1/2 tsp
  • Cherries 5
  • Yellow food color pinch

How to make Shahi tukda

  1. 1.Take bread slices, cut in 2parts
  2. 2.In a pan add butter, toast bread slices in it until golden brown, set aside.
  3. 3.Take 1 cup sugar,1 cup water and cardamom in a pan ,stir it and cook it on medium heat until one thread consistency will form.
  4. 4.also add some yellow food colour while cooking. this will give a nice beauty to your dish. So cook it until thread will form, then turn off the heat. set aside for 2-3 minutes.
  5. 5.Take 3/4 cup milk add sugar saffron n milk powder let it boil, till thicken turn off the heat ,set a side
  6. 6.Take a serving plate. Dip bread slices in sugar syrup for a minute not too long then set in the plate
  7. 7.Now add milk mixture on these bread slices.
  8. 8.Heat 1tbp of ghee add cashews and raisins cook wll. Spread this on bread, Sprinkle pistachio almond and cherry.
