Fish Chops or Fish Croquettes

Ingredients to make Fish Chops or Fish Croquettes

  • 6 piece rohu or katla,
  • 2 chopped onions
  • garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • 1 tspn ginger paste
  • garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  • red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • green chilli 2-3
  • salt to taste
  • coriander leaves chopped
  • 1 big size boiled and mashed potato
  • 1 egg
  • gram flour or besan 4 tbsp
  • bread crumbs for coating - 4 tbsp
  • Oil for frying

How to make Fish Chops or Fish Croquettes

  1. Boil the fish and take out the bones. Heat oil in a pan, fry the onions till golden brown then add ginger garlic pastes,chopped green chilies, red chilli powder, salt, garam masala powder and mix with the fish very nicely.
  2. Then add the mashed potato and coriander leaves. Give a nice mix. let it cool. Then make any shape of your choice. Make a thick batter with beaten eggs, besan and salt. Now dip the fish chops in this batter and roll them in the breadcrumbs.
  3. Then deep fry the chops. Fry till golden brown. Serve hot with any sauce and salad.

My Tip:

Any fish with less bones can be used.
