Nani's Vegetable biryani

Ingredients to make Nani's Vegetable biryani

  • Basmati rice 2 cups or 300 gm
  • carrot 1 big or 2 small
  • cauliflower 10 to 15 small flowers
  • Beans 50 gm
  • Green peas 50 gm
  • potato 1 small
  • Green chili 2
  • onion 2 big size
  • paneer 100 gm
  • Fresh tomatoes 2
  • cinnamon powder 1 tsp
  • Cooking oil 6 tbsp
  • cashews 20 gm
  • raisins 20 gm
  • lemon ( chopped)
  • Green cardamon 4 to 6
  • Black cardamon 1
  • cloves 4
  • ginger garlic paste 3 tsp
  • curd 2 tbsp
  • salt as per taste
  • cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Garam masala 1 tsp
  • Veg biryani powder 1 tsp
  • mint leaves 6-7
  • coriander leaf chopped 2 tbsp

How to make Nani's Vegetable biryani

  1. Wash rice nicely and keep in water with 1 tsp salt for 15 to 20 minutes.
  2. In a pan add cooking oil.
  3. Add cumin seeds , after crackle, fry onions and ginger garlic paste and green chilly. After fry this add all the vegetables and all powder spices in it and cover the pan with lid.
  4. Let it cook on slow flame for 15 to 20 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile on another gas stove take a cooker put rice, curd, salt, and all whole spices and let it cook.
  6. In a single whistle switched off the gas.
  7. Now mix all the cooked vegetables in cooked rice and mix well.
  8. Serve it hot with onion raita or some gravy.

My Tip:

Add little mung dal( 20gm) in this biryani for a different and delicious taste.
