Chicken Burger

Ingredients to make Chicken Burger

  • chicken Kheema 450 gms
  • 6 burger buns
  • oil for sauteing and frying
  • 1 beaten egg
  • Marinade for kheema:
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 3 tsp green chili-coriander leaves paste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1-1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 fried onion crushed
  • Handful of chopped coriander leaves
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp jeera
  • 2 - 1/2 tbsp cornflour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • Garnish:
  • 6 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp green chili-coriander leaves paste
  • 1 large sliced onion
  • 2 sliced tomatoes
  • 6 Cheese Slices
  • Few lettuce leaves

How to make Chicken Burger

  1. Wash and drain kheema thoroughly. Mix well all the marinade ingredients with kheema and marinate for 30 minutes at least.
  2. Make big sized balls of chicken kheema and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a nonstick pan. Beat egg separately in a bowl.
  4. Dip kheema ball in egg. Roll in breadcrumbs. Flatten it and shallow fry on both sides.
  5. Assemble Buns by layering with any fresh salad leaves/lettuce, sliced onions and tomatoes, chicken patty and top it with green chili-coriander leaves paste mixed in mayonnaise and cheese.
