My Mom's Special Semiyan

Ingredients to make My Mom's Special Semiyan

  • 600 ml of milk + 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup of Vermicelli (thicker one)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup condensed milk
  • ghee 2 tbsp
  • 2 tbsp milk powder
  • Chopped dry fruits (raisins, cashew and pistas)

How to make My Mom's Special Semiyan

  1. Heat ghee in a pan and add the vermicelli. Roast it till golden brown.
  2. in another pan bring the milk to boil. Take out 1/2 cup of milk. Keep aside.
  3. In the remaining milk, add the vermicelli. Cook for a few minutes, when the vermicelli is half done add sugar, condensed milk, dry fruits and cook for 10 minute.
  4. Now mix milk powder in the half cup of milk and add into the semiyan. Cook till thickened.
  5. Serve chilled.
