Ingredients to make Rum Soaked Nutty Ricotta Cassata Cream Dessert in a Glass

  • 50 gm ricotta cheese
  • 2 tablespoon condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoon Amul fresh cream
  • 1 cup of cashew nuts (chopped) black raisins and tutti-frutti
  • 2 tablespoon dark chocolate, chopped thickly
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon bloomed gelatin
  • a few glazed cherries, chopped
  • few pieces of candied oranges , chopped
  • 2 tablespoon brandy or rum
  • dark choco chips ( Optional )
  • 1 tablespoon sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon of mix fruit jam warmed with 1 tablespoon of rum

How to make Rum Soaked Nutty Ricotta Cassata Cream Dessert in a Glass

  1. Take the nuts, tutti-frutti, raisins and glazed cherries in rum and let it soak for about 2 hours.
  2. Blend together the cheese, fresh cream, sour cream, condensed milk, powdered sugar till smooth.
  3. Add the soaked nuts, raisins, tutti frutti and dark chocolate.
  4. Add 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla essence.
  5. Add the bloomed gelatin if you want it to set. Omit if you prefer smoothie-type dessert.
  6. Apply little bit of jam and rum mix to the bottom of the glasses or dessert bowls before adding the cassata cream mixture.
  7. Chill for 4-5 hours.
  8. Garnish with dark choco chips/ grated dark chocolate or glazed cherries or fresh fruit like strawberries/ cherries etc.
  9. Serve cold.
  10. Method for blooming gelatin- Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of gelatin over 1/4 cup of cold water and let stand for 10 minutes. Warm slightly to dissolve the gelatin and let it come to room temperature before using as per need.

My Tip:

Tastes just as yummy with cream cheese as well.
