Ingredients to make African decker

  • 2 chicken cutlets /burger patty (ready patties available can be used )
  • 8 slices brown/ whole wheat bread
  • 2 tspn mustsrd sauce (any brand)
  • 100grams butter
  • 2 tspn mint sauce ( can use mint chutney mixed with yoghurt )
  • 50 grams cottage cheese fresh
  • 2-3 britannia cheese slices
  • 1 medium capsicum
  • 1 small tomato
  • 1 small onion
  • A small ball of iceberg lettuce
  • oil to shallow fry cutlet
  • salt to taste
  • Oregano to sprinkle
  • pepper to sprinkle

How to make African decker

  1. Fry the chicken cutlet / chicken burger patty and cool. Take bread slices on a tray. Mix well about 2 tsp butter with 1 tsp mustard sauce.
  2. Take mint sauce or prepare sauce with mint / green chutney at home ,with plain thick curds 1:2. Now spread the butter mustard on 4 bread slices
  3. Then spread mint sauce on four slices and keep aside. Cut onion, tomato and capsicum thin round. Take frozen cheese slices to keep hard till sandwich gets ready
  4. Chop iceberg lettuce to add in. Layer sandwich decker now , On butter mustard slice put the chicken patty and keep sices of capsicum,tomato and onion. Top this with the mint sauce spread slice (sauce side up)
  5. Now layer with cheese slice and repeat tomato onion lettuce and sprinkle oregano, salt pepper. Top this with another butter mustard sauce spread slice of bread
  6. On this now spread the soft cottage cheese pieces Sprinkle salt pepper and drop sum mustard sauce for tang. Close this decker optionally, with a plain or spread slices
  7. Repeat these steps for second sandwich too. Its delicious and wholesome
