Achari Aloo Gobhi

Ingredients to make Achari Aloo Gobhi

  • cauliflower 1 kg
  • potatoes 3 medium
  • onions medium-sized chopped 2
  • tomatoes chopped 2
  • ginger garlic chopped 3 tbsp
  • mustard oil 3 tbsp
  • mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • Klaungi/nigella seeds 1/2 tsp
  • cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1 1/2 tsp
  • Dried methi 1 tbsp
  • Green chilli chopped 3-4
  • coriander powder 1 tsp
  • coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp
  • Garam masala 1 tsp
  • Salte to taste

How to make Achari Aloo Gobhi

  1. Wash and cut cauliflower and potatoes.
  2. Heat oil in pan add mustard seeds, klaunji, cumin seeds.
  3. Then add ginger, garlic, red chilli, turmeric, green chilli and onions, saute till golden brown then add tomatoes.
  4. When oil separates add cauliflower, potatoes, salt, methi, coriander powder and mix them.
  5. Cover with lid and let cook on low heat stirring occasionally until done.
  6. Add garam masala and coriander leaves.
  7. Serve hot with chapatis.

My Tip:

Can add roasted besan 2 tbsp with onions it tastes good.
