Paneer Bhurji

Ingredients to make Paneer Bhurji

  • Homemade paneer (from 1.5 litres of milk)
  • tomatoes 3 big sized
  • Haldi/turmeric powder a pinch
  • Dhania/coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Lal mirch /red chilli powder a pinch
  • Garam masala a pinch
  • Sabji masala 1 tsp
  • namak/Salt as required
  • oil 2 tbsp
  • jeera 1/2 tsp
  • hing a pinch
  • Hari mirch/green chillies 2
  • onions 2 medium sized

How to make Paneer Bhurji

  1. Prepare the paneer from the milk and hang it for 2 hours so that no water remains. Then let it rest in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  2. Take a wok and add oil to heat, when it is slightly heated add jeera and hing. Add the chopped onions and green chillies, let it splutter.
  3. Now add the chopped tomatoes and saute it well. Add all the dry ingredients and mix it well together.
  4. Once all of it is cooked, add the scrambled paneer to this mixture. Mix it well and turn off the gas stove.
  5. The Paneer Bhurji is all ready to be served with chapatis or paranthas.

My Tip:

I have made paneer at home from curdled milk, however, you can buy it from the market as well. I used scrambled paneer, you can use grated or cubed paneer as well.
