#Chatpati Bhindi

Ingredients to make #Chatpati Bhindi

  • Lady finger 250 gms
  • Hung curd 1/2 cup
  • ginger paste 1/2 tsp
  • cumin seeds 3/4th tsp
  • asafoetida a pinch
  • Saunf/fennel 3/4 tsp
  • red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  • coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  • Chaat masala 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste

How to make #Chatpati Bhindi

  1. Wash and dry the lady fingers properly. Then cut the lady fingers length wise.
  2. Deep fry them till they turn golden brown in colour.
  3. Take the curd in a bowl, mix in all the spices, except the cumin seeds and asafoetida.
  4. Take a pan. Add 1 tsp oil to heat, once the oil is hot, add in the cumin seeds and asafoetida.
  5. When the cumin seeds crackle, add in the ginger paste. After few seconds, add in the curd mixture. Stir and cook till it leaves the oil.
  6. Next add the fried okras or ladyfinger. Mix it well.
  7. Serve it on a plate with a garnish of green coriander.
