My Paneer Kadai

Ingredients to make My Paneer Kadai

  • 150 grams cottage cheese/Malai paneer
  • 100 grams capsicum
  • 3 big ripe tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon red kashmiri chilli powder
  • 2 tsp tomato ketchup
  • 2 tsp pure ghee
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4th tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp cumin-coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp nut meg powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala (cloves, cinnamon, black pepper, shah zeera )
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • Optional green chillies, crushed to form a paste

How to make My Paneer Kadai

  1. Cut the paneer and capsicum into squares pieces and keep it aside. Also grind or grate the tomatoes.
  2. Heat ghee in a pan. Saute the ginger-garlic in this and add the grated tomatoes. Mix it well. Add in the salt, red chilli powder and turmeric.
  3. Saute the tomatoes and add the other spices as well. Now mix in the condiments.
  4. Add capsicum pieces and the paneer as well. Mix it well, cover and cook for 5 mins.
  5. Now add the tomato ketchup and mix well. Cover and cook it for 5 minutes.
  6. Serve it hot with tandoori or normal parathas.

My Tip:

Use soft malai paneer to prepare this dish.
