Ingredients to make Raagi Paalkozhukattai

  • For Kozhukattai Balls:
  • Raagi flour 1 cup
  • Rice flour 1/2 cup
  • salt 1/4 tsp
  • water 1/2 cup
  • ghee 1 tsp
  • milk 1 cup
  • For the milk preparation:
  • sugar 1 cup
  • milk 4 to 5 cups
  • Cardomom 1 tsp
  • Thick Coconut milk 1 Cup

How to make Raagi Paalkozhukattai

  1. Take the ragi, rice flour, salt, water, and milk in a bowl and mix it well to form a paste.
  2. Now pour this in a non-stick pan and cook till it forms a ball shape. Add in some ghee and mix it well. Set it aside to cool down.
  3. Shape this mixture into small balls and set it aside.
  4. Take a pan, bring the milk and sugar to boil together. Once it boils, add the ragi balls into this boiling milk mixture and continue cooking them for 5-8 mins.
  5. Now add in the coconut milk, cardamom powder and mix it well together.
  6. Then remove this from the flame and set it aside for 15 mins to let the mixture cool down.
