#Gul-e-firdaus

Ingredients to make #Gul-e-firdaus

  • 500 ml milk
  • 1 tbsp Desi ghee
  • 1/2 cup bottle guard grated
  • 1/2 cup sago soaked
  • 1/2 cup mawa or milk powder
  • sugar less than 1/2 cup
  • 2 tbsp almond paste
  • Gulkand for garnishing
  • rose essence a few drops

How to make #Gul-e-firdaus

  1. In a wok, add a tbsp of desi ghee. Add grated bottle gourd and cook till the moisture evaporates.
  2. Add milk, soaked sago and let it simmer.
  3. When it starts to thicken and sago become translucent, add sugar, mawa and almond paste. Stir well for 2 minutes.
  4. Turn off the gas.
  5. Sprinkle few drops of rose essence.
  6. Refrigerate and serve with gulkand garnishing.

My Tip:

If using milk powder in place of mawa then cut short quantity of sugar.
