ABOUT Dry Fruit Laddu with dates & dessicated coconut RECIPE

Credit goes to one of bestie's mother. She use to make this dry fruit laddu with dates with jaggery and dry fruits ladoo and give it to me and its so nutritious & healthy loaded with iron & vitamins. I have given a little twist to it by adding desiccated coconut, saffron strands, cardamon powder.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Almonds - 1 cup
  2. Cashews - 1 cup
  3. Pistachios - 1 cup
  4. Walnuts - 1 cup
  5. Dry scrapped cocnut - 1 cup
  6. Dates (seedless) - 500 gm
  7. Dry fig - 250 gm
  8. Dry Anjeer - 100 gm
  9. Jaggery sliced - 1 cup
  10. Cardamon (elaichi) powder - 3 tsp
  11. 7-8 saffron strands
  12. a pinch of dry ginger powder

Instructions

  1. Grind the dates, dry anjeer and dry fig fruits finely in mixture and keep it aside.
  2. Dry roast all the nuts one by one on a slow flame. once done, let it cool and then either you can chop them with a knife or in a chopper machine.
  3. Now, dry roast dry coconut on a slow flame. They should be roasted but should not change the color
  4. Mix all fried & chopped nuts, dry coconut, jaggery, cardamon powder, saffron strands and a pinch of ginger powder well enough that they bind together
  5. Make small laddus from the mixture. This can be stored in a container and kept outside as well.
