Ingredients to make Coconut fudge

  • sugar
  • sugar 150 gms
  • lauki -1kg
  • Mava/khoya- 200 gm
  • Dry nuts- as per taste and choice
  • salt- 2 pinch
  • ghee - 2 tblsp
  • coconut - 5 tblsp
  • elaichi powder- 3 tsp
  • coconut milk- 2 cups

How to make Coconut fudge

  1. Firstly wash the lauki ,cut and deseed and grate it well
  2. ,take kadai,add ghee and then add lauki and fry it well and cover it for 5 minutes because it wil left water .
  3. Now open the cover fry again til water evaporate well.
  4. Now add coconut milk and stir well ..after 2-3 minutes add sugar and mava give a stir and fry it till milk evaporates....at this time add nuts like kaju,badam,melon seeds .
  5. When it became sticky ..at last add cardmom powder and mix well.
  6. Switch off the flame.
  7. Grease a plate with one drop of ghee and spread the mixture and keep it aside at least for one hour to set....after that cut in desired shape.

My Tip:

Dont left the mixture on high flame...cook it in medium flame otherwisr it wil burn,..sweet can added as per taste....mava can.also avoided for fat free barfi ...
