Ingredients to make Surul Poli South indian delicacy

  • Maida 1 cup
  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Roasted chana dal 2/3 cup
  • Mix dry fruit 1/4 cup
  • Coconut powder 1/4 cup
  • Raisins and Dates 2 tbsp each
  • Tutti - fruity as per choice
  • Oil for frying

How to make Surul Poli South indian delicacy

  1. Roast all dry fruits with coconut powder in a little ghee.
  2. Once it cools, grind it with chana dal and then add sugar powder to it.
  3. Spread this powder on a plate. Add 2 tbsp of maida and knead it like a puri dough.
  4. Make small balls, roll flat with a rolling pin and fry in hot oil.
  5. Make all puris like this. Serve with tutti fruity on the top.
