Coconut Malai Roll

Ingredients to make Coconut Malai Roll

  • 4 bread slices
  • malai 1/2 cup
  • sugar syrup 1 cup
  • coconut powder as required
  • Finely chopped dry fruits (Pista, almond, Cashew etc) 1/2 cup
  • Silver varak for decoration

How to make Coconut Malai Roll

  1. First cut the edges of the bread and flatten with a rolling pin.
  2. Spread fresh malai on the flattened bread slices.
  3. Sprinkle chopped dry fruits.
  4. Make sugar syrup with the help of sugar and water. Add food color as per your choice. Let it cool.
  5. After sprinkling the nuts, fold the slice and make a roll as shown in the image.
  6. Dip this roll in the chashni/sugar syrup and take out at once.
  7. Roll it in coloured coconut powder.
  8. Garnish it with silver varak and sprinkle dome crushed dry fruits on top.
