Ingredients to make Whole wheat banana chocolate cake

  • wheat flour – 2 cups
  • banana – 1 large size
  • sugar – 1 Cup
  • Cocoa powder – 1/4 cup
  • oil – 1 /3 cup
  • Milk – 1 cup
  • Baking Powder – 1 tsp
  • Choco chips – 1/2 cup

How to make Whole wheat banana chocolate cake

  1. Peel the banana and mash well using spoon in a mixing bowl. Preheat oven to 150° C and grease the baking pan with oil and dust with little flour.
  2. Sift wheat flour, cocoa powder and baking powder. In a bowl whisk sugar and oil until sugar dissolves.
  3. Then add mashed banana to the sugar mixture and mix well. Add dry ingredients little by little and mix.
  4. Pour milk and fold gently. Once the batter comes to thick dosa batter consistency, add choco chips and give a quick mix.
  5. Pour the batter into prepared pan and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the inserted toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let it cool completely on wire rack. Invert, slice and serve.

My Tip:

My cake got done in 17 minutes so keep an eye on the cake after 10 minutes.
