Ingredients to make Choco-cheese half and half mousse - cake

  • all purpose flour 3/4 th cup
  • Cocoa powder 1 /4 th cup
  • baking soda 1 pinch
  • Whipped cream cheese 1cup
  • Icing sugar 1 and 1 /2 cup
  • Vanilla extract 1 tbsp
  • 1 large egg
  • Chocolate sauce 1 cup
  • Semi sweetened Dark chocolate bar (roughly chopped) 2 cups
  • Chilled water 2 tbsp

How to make Choco-cheese half and half mousse - cake

  1. (FOR CHEESE CAKE) : Sieve flour, baking soda and cocoa powder and mix together
  2. Take a large bowl, pour whipped cream cheese, chocolate sauce, Icing sugar, fold gently
  3. Add egg, followed by vanilla extract, mix well
  4. Add flour mixture and fold generously
  5. Preheat the oven in 180°c
  6. Pour the batter equally into 4 microwave proof small pudding bowls
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes in 180°c
  8. After baking, keep it aside and let come to the room temperature.
  9. (FOR CHOCOLATE MOUSSE) : while the cake is baking, prepare the chocolate nousse
  10. Take the roughly chopped semi sweetened dark chocolates and melt over a double boiler
  11. After the melted chocolate cools down to room temperature, keep it in a zip lock bag and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes
  12. Pour the chilled chocolate into a bowl and beat in high speed,
  13. Add 1 tbsp chilled water into it and beat again in high speed until foamy texture formed. (add more chilled water if required)
  14. Now the chocolate mousse is ready, take it in a piping bag
  15. Spread it over the cheese cake, and refrigerate for 1 hour
  16. Decorate as you wish before serve.

My Tip:

Before spread the mousse over the cake, make sure that the cake is in room temperature. :-)
