Ingredients to make Pizza Puff

  • Ingredients: For Tikka:
  • 200 gms (7 oz) Paneer (cottage cheese), cut in 1 inch cube
  • 3-4 onion cubes
  • 2 capsicum cubes
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/4 cup Hung curd or Thick curd
  • 1/2 teaspoon Tandoori masala Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kasuri Methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
  • 1/2 tablespoon Cumin-coriander Powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chat masala Powder
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • salt as per taste
  • Ingredients for puff:
  • 2 Cup Whole wheat flour
  • 1 1/2 cup butter milk
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • salt as per taste

How to make Pizza Puff

  1. First, prepare marinade for tikka. Beat hung curd. in a bowl until smooth. Add ginger-garlic paste, tandoori masala powder, cumin-coriander powder, red chili powder, kasuri methi, chat masala powder, lemon juice and salt and mix well to prepare the marinade.
  2. Add paneer cubes, onion cubes and capsicum cubes in prepared marinade and mix gently to coat each cube evenly. Cover it with a plate or plastic wrap and let them marinate at least for an hour. Soak the wooden skewer (or small toothpick) in water for 10 minutes and wipe it before using. Place marinated paneer cubes, onion cubes and capsicum cubes on wooden skewer and grease them with oil. Now paneer skewered tikka needs to be cooked.
  3. Heat oil in a non-stick tawa or griddle, place skewers over it and shallow fry them over medium flame. Turn side of the skewer 3-4 times until all sides are cooked properly and have brown color.
  4. To give a little burnt effect, hold skewer with a tong and place it over gas-flame for 30-seconds. Transfer them to a plate and keep aside.
  5. Make a dough using the dough ingredients and let it rest. Divide the dough in equal small balls and then make roti from them. Cut these roti in two portion. Fill on the one side the stuffing with cheese and put the other part of roti on it.
  6. Now take a fork and press the edges of it. Make all the puffs and then place it on greased microwave dish and bake it on preheated microwave on convection mode on 180 degree for 15-20 mins. Keep an eye on it. After 15 mins if it is golden brown in color then take them out and if not then bake them for few more minutes. Serve it hot with any sauce or dip.
