Chocolate Vanilla Fudge

Ingredients to make Chocolate Vanilla Fudge

  • Milk 2 l
  • sugar 2 heaped tablespoon
  • Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon
  • Cocoa powder 2 teaspoon
  • Shredded chocolate to sprinkle
  • Milk powder 1/2 cup

How to make Chocolate Vanilla Fudge

  1. Boil the milk in a heavy bottom pan. Let it cook on low flame. Stir occasionally. Scrape the sides to avoid burning.
  2. Milk will change into a thick mass. It can take 2 to 2:30 hours. After reducing I have got 1 & 1/2 cup khoya or mawa. You can use same amount of store bought mawa/khoya too.
  3. Heat a nonstick pan. Add the reduced milk and cook on low flame for 10 minutes. Stir continuously.
  4. Add the sugar and milk powder. Cook for another 6 - 7 minutes or until it leaves the sides and becomes a dough like consistency. Keep stirring.
  5. Add vanilla and mix well. Let the mixture cool. Knead with hand to make it smooth.
  6. Divide the mixture into two equal parts.
  7. Mix cocoa powder in one part and mix well.
  8. Place a piece of aluminum foil on a plate.
  9. Place cocoa powder mix half on it. Make square shape with your palm. Set it well.
  10. Place another half over it. Set with your palm.
  11. Sprinkle shredded chocolate over it.
  12. Let it set for an hour.
  13. Cut in square shape before serving.

My Tip:

Keep the fudge in refrigerator. You can keep it for 4 - 5 days.
