Rose Phirni

Ingredients to make Rose Phirni

  • 1/2 cup rice
  • 1 litre Milk (full cream)
  • 2 Tablespoon dry rose petals
  • 2 Tablespoon rose syrup
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • Almonds and pistachio nuts

How to make Rose Phirni

  1. Soak 1 tablespoon of rose petal in water for half an hour. and keep balance for garnishing
  2. Wash and soak rice in water for half an hour and then grind it along with the soaked rose petals to form a course paste
  3. In a pan add milk, heat it till it starts boiling
  4. Now add rice paste to boiling milk and make sure that lumps do not form. Cook this on medium or slow flame till rice gets cooked properly. Stir it constantly
  5. Once it is cooked add sugar and rose syrup and cook for a minute or two. Now add chopped almonds, pistachio and rose petals
  6. Transfer this into a serving dish and garnish it with nuts and rose petals
  7. Before serving keep it in refrigerator for two hours

My Tip:

You can also add green cardamom powder
