Microwave Besan Burfi

Ingredients to make Microwave Besan Burfi

  • besan - 2 and 1/4 cups
  • Milk powder - 1 cup
  • Powdered sugar - 1 and 1/2 cups
  • ghee - 1 cup + 2tbs for greasing
  • cardamom powder - tsp
  • Milk - 6 tbsp
  • Dry fruits (melon seeds, almonds and cashews) - 1/4 cup

How to make Microwave Besan Burfi

  1. Brush the tray or plate with ghee and keep aside.
  2. Chop the dry fruits and keep aside.
  3. Pour ghee in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute for the ghee to melt.
  4. Add the besan and microwave on high for 2 minutes. Remove and stir.
  5. Place it back and micorwave for another 2 minutes.
  6. Remove from microwave, add milk powder and cardamom powder.Stir and place it back in the oven for another minute.
  7. Then take it out and add the powdered sugar and milk.
  8. Stir to combine well and microwave for another 2 minutes.
  9. Remove from microwave and transfer it onto the tray.spread it evenly. Sprinkle the chopped dryfruits.
  10. Use a katori or small flat plate to flatten and dab the dryfruits onto surface. Let it cool in fridge for 15 minutes. Or may leave under fan or at room temperature to cool which may take little longer time to cool.
  11. Cut into desired shape and serve. Store in clean & dry airtight container.
