Healthy Sub Sandwich

Ingredients to make Healthy Sub Sandwich

  • A hot dog roll/ sub 6 inches foot long will do
  • 1 big firm tomato
  • 2 cheese slices
  • 6 - 8 mushrooms
  • 2-4 pineapple slices, or any choice of fruit
  • 1 tbsp plain butter of choice
  • 1 teaspoon mustard sauce
  • 1 tsp black currant or any Jam/ Marmalade of your choice
  • Few Lettuce leaves, fresh
  • salt to sprinkle, as per taste

How to make Healthy Sub Sandwich

  1. Slit the hot dog roll in the center till midway but not entirely through. Then butter the roll both sides on the inside lightly.
  2. Wash the tomato and slice it well. Keep the pineapple slices ready in the fridge.
  3. Wash the lettuce leaves and pat dry them. Then place the lettuce leaves inside the buttered roll.
  4. Place some chopped mushrooms and sprinkle salt on top as per choice.
  5. Next place the cheese slices, now put in your pineapple slices.
  6. Slide in some jam all over, then slide in the tomatoes. Sprinkle little salt on top of this.
  7. Enjoy this 2 minute recipe!

My Tip:

Chop the tomatoes and keep it in the fridge. Keep pineapple slices in the fridge just for a minute, then slit the roll and place your cheese and lettuce.
