Ingredients to make Cottage Cheese in Spinach Gravy (Palak Paneer)

  • spinach puree 2 cups
  • cottage cheese cubed 500 gms
  • ginger-Garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Salt and sugar as per taste
  • Green chilli paste 1 tsp
  • White oil 2 tbsp
  • cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • bay leaf 2 pieces
  • coriander powder 2 tsp
  • Dried fenugreek leaves (kasouri methi) 1 tsp
  • Fresh cream 2 tbsp

How to make Cottage Cheese in Spinach Gravy (Palak Paneer)

  1. Heat oil in a saucepan. Add in the bay leaf and cumin seeds to it.
  2. Next add in the ginger-garlic paste and salt to it. Saute it well.
  3. Add in the spinach puree and cook it for sometime until it changes colour. Next, add in coriander powder, green chilli paste and sugar to it.
  4. Now add in the paneer cubes and cook it in a very low flame for 10 mins while covering it with a lid.
  5. Add fresh cream and dried fenugreek leaves.
  6. Serve it warm with roti or naan.
