ABOUT Mawa and Paneer ki Tikki RECIPE

A mixture of milk solids and paneer with a blend of spices.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 boiled Potatoes
  2. 1/2 cup grated paneer
  3. 1/2 cup grated mawa
  4. Cornflour as required for binding
  5. 1 teaspoon chopped green chillies
  6. 1 tablespoon chopped coriander
  7. 1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  8. 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  9. 1/2 teaspoon chat masala
  10. Black salt to taste
  11. Oil to shallow fry

Instructions

  1. Mash or grate all the potatoes. Then mix the potatoes well with the mawa and paneer.
  2. Add in the chopped chillies, chopped coriander and all the other spices in this potato mixture. Also add salt as per taste. Bind it well by adding corn flour.
  3. Now make tikki shapes of this mixture and allow it to rest in the fridge.
  4. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in pan, then shallow fry these tikkis for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  5. Serve them hot with mint sauce.
