Crispy Paneer Sticks

Ingredients to make Crispy Paneer Sticks

  • paneer cut in 1 inch cubes 200 grams
  • onion cut into 1 inch square pieces 1
  • capsicum cut into 1 inch square pieces 1
  • ginger chilli paste 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
  • Chat masala 1 teaspoon
  • coriander 1 teaspoon finely chopped
  • gram flour 2 tablespoon
  • Water to mix the gram flour
  • oil for frying
  • salt as per taste
  • Wooden tooth picks few

How to make Crispy Paneer Sticks

  1. Take the paneer cubes in a bowl. Sprinkle on top the 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder, 1/4 teaspoon garam masala, 1/2 teaspoon chat masala and salt. Mix it well and leave aside for 15 mins.
  2. In another bowl, take the gram flour, add in the coriander, ginger-chilli paste, remaining chilli powder, garam masala and salt. Add water to this to make a dropping consistency.
  3. Heat oil in a wok/kadai. Now take a toothpick, insert a piece of onion first, next a cube of paneer and lastly a piece of capsicum.
  4. Dip it well in the gram flour mixture and deep fry in the oil till it turns golden. Take them out on a paper towel to absorb the excess oil.
  5. Serve hot with any sauce or mint chutney.

My Tip:

Put in 2-3 sticks to fry at a time.
