Ingredients to make Filipino Style Garlic Fried Rice with Scallions

  • Cooked jasmine rice 2 cups
  • garlic 10 pods, chopped finely
  • eggs 2
  • chilli flakes 1/2 tsp
  • vinegar 1 tsp
  • Soy sauce 1/4 tsp
  • Scallion or spring onion 4 chopped, green and white part both
  • salt as per taste
  • Green chillies 2 chopped
  • pepper powder 1 tsp
  • butter 1/2 tsp

How to make Filipino Style Garlic Fried Rice with Scallions

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add in the garlic and fry until they are brown in colour. Reserve half of them for garnishing.
  2. Now add in the chopped spring onion, then add in the black pepper powder.
  3. Now add in the rice and salt along with the butter and soy sauce. Then keep it aside.
  4. Heat oil in the same pan, add in the egg, fry it for 2-3 mins, then add in the salt, pepper powder and chilli flakes, the egg yolk should be undisturbed.
  5. Fry only one side of the egg (see the picture).
  6. Now garnish the fried rice with the fried egg, fried garlic and some more pepper powder.
  7. Serve it instantly to enjoy!
