Ingredients to make Capsicum Rings or Capsicum Stuffed Uttapam

  • capsicums - 2 cut into 1 inch thick rings
  • Ingredients for batter -
  • Suji/Rava - 2 cups
  • curd - 1 cup
  • salt to taste
  • red chilli powder to taste
  • mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  • water- as required to make batter (batter should not be too thick not too thin).
  • carrots - 2 grated
  • jeera powder - 1 tsp
  • onion - 1 chopped
  • tomato - 1 chopped
  • capsicum - 1 finely chopped
  • coriander leaves a handful

How to make Capsicum Rings or Capsicum Stuffed Uttapam

  1. Mix suji with curd and let it stand for 15 mins.
  2. Add water to make batter. The batter should not be too thick not too thin.
  3. Now add salt, red chilli powder, mustard seeds. Mix well.
  4. Add all the veggies and coriander leaves and mix well.
  5. Adjust the consistency by adding more water if required. Uttapam batter is ready
  6. Heat tawa on high flame. Pour little oil on it and then place capsicum ring on it and fill it with uttapam batter and cook it on slow flame for few mins and then on high flame.
  7. Change the side and repeat the same process till both sides are cooked and the colour changes to golden
  8. serve
