Ingredients to make Hyderabadi Lauz/Khajoor...

  • all purpose flour 3 cups
  • semolina 1 cup
  • eggs 2
  • sugar either powdered or plain 1/2 cup
  • Milk a cup
  • butter or ghee 3 tbsp
  • Dry fruits powdered 1/2 cup (optional)

How to make Hyderabadi Lauz/Khajoor...

  1. Make a smooth dough out of all the ingredients.
  2. Add water if required.
  3. Let the dough rest for 20 mins.
  4. Divide the dough as desired and roll it into 2" thick roti and cut into diamond shapes
  5. Deep fry on medium flame only. It is important. It needs to be fried very well.
  6. Enjoy them hot or even after cooling them down.
  7. Store them in an airtight container after thoroughly cooled down.

My Tip:

Adding dry fruits is optional. I added because my kids don't eat them if I give them as they are. Furthermore, It also becomes nutritious with the addition of these superfoods.
