Ingredients to make Moist Chocolate Cake (2 Tier)

  • I made two chocolate cakes. For one cake you need
  • all purpose flour 1 1/2 cups.
  • Cocoa powder 1/2 cup
  • eggs 3
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  • Baking Powder 1 Tsp
  • baking soda 1/2 tsp
  • Hot water 1 cup
  • Instant coffee powder a tsp
  • sugar 3/4 th cup
  • Canola oil 1/4 th cup

How to make Moist Chocolate Cake (2 Tier)

  1. Mix all the dry ingredients, that is flour,cocoa powder, baking soda and baking powder. Sift them once or twice.
  2. Now whisk the eggs and blend all the wet ingredients with sugar until creamy.
  3. You need to fold in the dry ingredients in the wet mix slowly little by little adding hot water mixed with coffee powder. It is important. Do not add whole at once.
  4. The batter will be liquidy. No need to panic. It makes the cake spongy.
  5. Before starting to make the preparations of the batter, preheat the oven for 10 mins.
  6. Tap the baking pan once and bake it on 180° for 30 mins or until the skewer comes out clean when inserted.
  7. Let them cool down before working on the decoration part.
  8. Whipped cream to be spread in between the two cake layers and also on the top and the sides.
  9. The final cake is ready to be devoured.

My Tip:

Do not open the oven while the cake is baking. Do not keep the batter outside once it is ready. Bake it immediately. Coffee brings out the flavour in cocoa.
