Fig Ice Cream

Ingredients to make Fig Ice Cream

  • dried figs 100gm
  • sugar just 2 tbsp
  • Whipped cream 1 1/2 cups.
  • Milk if needed 1/4 th cup
  • almonds toasted 2 tbsp
  • pistachios toasted 2 tbsp
  • cinnamon powder or nutmeg powder 1/2 tsp
  • mint leaves to garnish

How to make Fig Ice Cream

  1. Boil the dried figs until soft on medium flame with just a cup of water.
  2. Let it cool down before you blend.
  3. Blend this to a fine puree using sugar and others and also some milk if required. Otherwise no need of adding milk.
  4. Fold in the whipped cream until just mixed.
  5. Freeze it until firm in an airtight container. Give it a light stir every 2 hours twice or thrice for a more fluffier, luscious icecream.
  6. Serve it chilled with toasted almonds and mint leaves.
