Bang Bang Shrimp

Ingredients to make Bang Bang Shrimp

  • 450 grams raw shrimp-Peeled deveined tail removed
  • Oil for deep frying
  • 1/2 cup mayo -optional
  • 1 cup thai sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp of sriracha hot sauce
  • 1/2 cup of cornflour
  • 1/2 tbsp of garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp of black pepper
  • 1 bunch of green onions
  • 1 egg

How to make Bang Bang Shrimp

  1. In a large bowl toss the shrimp with black pepper, garlic paste egg and cornflour.
  2. When the shrimp is coated with this mixture, keep it aside for a few minutes. Meanwhile heat a skillet with oil , when the oil is nice and hot, add the whole shrimp in two batches so that it doesn't overcrowd the pan.
  3. Note that shrimps cook fast, so when the bottom of the shrimp turns crispy ,flip the shrimp so that other side can cook. Remove the shrimp to a paper towel lined plate when both sides are crispy .
  4. In a small bowl whisk the thai sweet chili sauce, mayo(optional),Sriracha hot sauce together and make a smooth paste .
  5. Take a skillet add little oil, pour in the saucy paste and add all fried shrimp. Now toss this shrimp mixture carefully .
  6. Before serving sprinkle with green onion & little sesame oil .
  7. Serve hot for best taste.

My Tip:

Remember do not over fry the shrimp.
