How to make LAHORI PANEER KOFTE

  1. To make kofta, grate paneer in a bowl, add dried coconut powder, raisins, chopped cashew nuts and salt - black pepper to taste & mix well.
  2. Make round balls out of paneer mixture in the shape of kofta and coat balls with little Maida or corn flour.
  3. Heat oil in a heavy bottomed kadhai on a medium flame. When oil is sufficiently hot, fry koftas in oil. When it gets golden brown from both sides take it out of oil & drain excess oil with the help of tissue paper.
  4. For gravy heat oil in a pan, add ginger and cashew nut paste, cook for few seconds. Add tomato paste and sauté it till it starts to leave oil from sides. Add salt to taste & sugar. Add few drops of rose water .
  5. Add fried koftas in a gravy and mix gently. Simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Take off the heat and transfer in a serving bowl. Sprinkle some garam masala on the top and garnish it with fresh coriander and cream. Serve hot with roti or Puri or pulao.

My Tip:

Tip- You can add bread crumbs or mashed boiled potatoes to add binding to the koftas
