Veg clear soup / Desi soup

Ingredients to make Veg clear soup / Desi soup

  • Lady finger - 4
  • Tomato - 1
  • Shallots - 4 to 5
  • Beans - 4 to 5
  • Ghee - 1 tsp
  • Water - 2 and 1/4 cup
  • Pepper powder as per your taste
  • Salt to taste

How to make Veg clear soup / Desi soup

  1. Chop the veggies as per your wish. Keep them aside.Take a pan, and add a teaspoon of ghee along with few drops of oil so that the ghee doesn't burn.
  2. Add in all the veggies and saute for a minute. Next add in salt and toss them. Heat ghee in a large pot and add in the veggies, saute and pour the 2 and 1/4 cups of water. Cover and let it cook.
  3. Next add in the pepper powder. Mix well. Cover and cook till the veggies are half done. Open the lid ,add water, cover and cook till the veggies are completely done. Bring the soup to a boil. Once it starts bubbling switch off the flame.
  4. Check for salt and pepper powder and adjust the seasoning accordingly.
  5. Soup is ready to be served. Serve hot to enjoy!
My Tip: You can add veggies of your choice like the greens, mushrooms etc. Use home grown pepper and freshly grounded pepper powder.
