Rice Dumplings

Ingredients to make Rice Dumplings

  • Cooked rice 1 cup
  • rice flour 1 cup
  • salt to taste
  • oil 4 tbsp
  • spinach puree 2 tbsp
  • tomato puree 2 tbsp
  • red chilli 1/2 tsp
  • water as needed
  • For tempering:
  • oil 1 tbsp
  • garlic chopped 2 tbsp
  • Rai 1 tsp
  • chilli flakes 1 tsp
  • water 1/3 cup

How to make Rice Dumplings

  1. Take a bowl mix cooked rice, flour salt and oil together.
  2. Divide this mixture in 3 parts.
  3. In first part add spinach puree and make a dough.
  4. Make small sized balls from the mixture and keep aside.
  5. In 2nd part, add tomato puree and red chilli powder and make a dough.
  6. Make small sized balls from the mixture and keep aside.
  7. In the 3rd part, add little water and make a dough and again make small balls from mixture.
  8. Now take a pan, add oil for tempering.
  9. Add garlic, rai then add rice balls and saute.
  10. Add chilli flakes and saute.
  11. Then add water and cook till water evaporates.
  12. Place lid on pan on slow flame for 2 minutes.
