Ingredients to make Whole Wheat Veggie Bread

  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp yeast
  • 2 - 3 garlic cloves ; minced
  • 1/4th cup beans ; finely chopped
  • 1/4th cups bellpeppers ; finely chopped
  • 1/4th cup peas ; slightly mashed
  • 1/4th cup carrots ; finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp black seeds
  • 1/4th cup oil
  • About 3/4th cup warm milk
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp black pepper powder
  • 1/4th cup fresh coriander and parsley ; finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp of butter

How to make Whole Wheat Veggie Bread

  1. In the warm milk , add the yeast and set aside .
  2. In a large bowl , add the flour , salt , black pepper , garlic , bellpeppers , carrots , peas , sesame seeds and black seeds along with oil and coriander and parsley and give it all a good mix .
  3. With the help of your hands , knead the dough with the yeast milk and set it to rise in a warm place for about an hour .
  4. In the meanwhile , prepare the loaf pan by greasing it .
  5. When the dough is done , put it into the greased loaf pan and spread it out evenly .
  6. Let this sit in a warm place for a second round of rising for about 20 mins .
  7. In the meanwhile , preheat the oven to 180° .
  8. Bake this bread for about 20 - 25 mins or till well baked through .
  9. Cut through the bread only after it has completely cooled down to get perfect slices .
  10. For a glaze , brush some butter over the surface .
  11. Serve it with salads or enjoy alongside soups .
