Ingredients to make Kakarakaya (Karela) Thepla / Bitter Gourd Peel Thepla

  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • ½ cup Grated Kakarakaya peels
  • ¼ cup Chopped coriander leaves
  • ½ tsp Turmer ic powder
  • 1tsp jeera
  • 3 chopped green chillies
  • 2 tsp oil
  • To taste salt

How to make Kakarakaya (Karela) Thepla / Bitter Gourd Peel Thepla

  1. Wash and clean the bitter gourd. Peel the bitter gourd.
  2. In a bowl add all ingredients except oil. Mix well.
  3. Add enough water to make soft dough. Add 1 tsp oil and mix well.
  4. Cover the dough with a cloth and rest it for 15 mins.
  5. Divide the dough into balls. Roll it as chapathi.
  6. Heat a tawa, add butter and cook the roti both sides. Serve hot.
  7. Serve with raita.
