Ingredients to make Potato hearts

  • potatoes-2
  • salt- as per our taste
  • lemon juice- 1 tsp
  • coriander leaves- finely chopped- 1 spoon
  • Bread slices-4
  • Bread powder -( from the left over bread in which we take heart shape)
  • wheat flour- 2 spoons
  • Orange food colour- a pinch

How to make Potato hearts

  1. 1. Boil potatoes with little salt. After done, peel the skin and mash it in a bowl when hot.
  2. In that mashed potato add salt, Coriander leaves and lemon juice.
  3. Now take 2 bread slices at a time. Take a heart shaped cutter and press it into it. We get 2 hearts. In between 2 hearts, applr a spoon of potato mixture.
  4. In a small plate, take wheat flour and orange food colour and make it like a thick batter with little water.
  5. With the bread slices left after cuttibg heart shapes, place them on a tawa without oil and roast for 5 minutes.
  6. Transfer to a mixie jar and make bread crumbs
  7. Now take our potato hearts and dip in batter and roll it in bread crumbs and place them on a plate. Arrange all and then in a dosa tawa, add oil generously and when hot, place these potato hearts and fry on both sides.
  8. Our crispy potato hears are ready to serve along with ketchup

My Tip:

For potato hearts even pav bhaji curry tastes great. If we have any such curry in refrigerator, we can use that also
