Ingredients to make STRABERRY PIE CAKE

  • INGRIDENTS FOR THE PIE
  • I cup APF
  • 2tbs sugar
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1/2cup butter cut in cubes
  • For the Jelly
  • 100ml strawberry juice fresh
  • 1/2cup sugar
  • 2 Tbs cornstarch
  • 1 can sprite
  • A pinch of salt
  • 10 to 15 strawberries

How to make STRABERRY PIE CAKE

  1. for the crust: Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Add all ingredients to a mixer bowl or food processor, mix until crumbly. Press into a half sheet pan (about 18 x 12). Prick all over with a fork. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned.
  2. For the pie: Add a juice, sugar, cornstarch, salt and Sprite to a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil and whisk. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature. Slice strawberries. Arrange over crust. Pour filling over strawberries Refrigerate 2 hours or until set. Garnish with whipped cream or as it is..

My Tip:

Make the strawberry jelly aftr the pie crust us cool so you can pour it immediately on the pie once little cool else it will set. Can use gelatine as well instead of cornstarch
